  • * If playing numbers are low, the prize will be €20 & a -1 cut.
  •  If your ball lands on the Fairway, Players have the option to move and place in the nearest side of rough, no nearer the hole. Placing everywhere within 6 inches. ( except Penalty areas)

Going for Gold 2025

The inaugural strokes Gold Medal event took place on Saturday 18th of October, a nod to Hon Sec Damian Byrne who came up with the concept whereby the 7 Medal winners play off for the end of season prize.

Conor McKenna won both the April & May Medals (a very rare feat at BMGC), leading to 6 players battling the now "usual" Saturday morning wind & rain on the course.

A shaky start by Kevin Burke resulting in a 9 on hole 3 left the door wide open for the rest of the field, on hole 18 Dave Curley shot up the leaderboard with a brilliant 80yard pitch into the hole for a gross eagle 2.

Ultimately a steady run from the 4th to the 10th holes saw Kevin Burke win with 74 Nett strokes.

  1. K Burke 74
  2. B Cruise 75 (back 9)
  3. D Curley 75
  4. C McKenna 77
  5. S McNulty 80 (back 9)
  6. T Boyle 80
