Barton Cup:

A narrow 3&2 loss to Newlands 17/5/26 

Eoin Boggans & Damian Byrne secured a home point, as did John Sloan & Pat.it Horan away... leaving Joe Hutahaen & Ciaran O'Connor with a chance of the 3rd point, unfortunately they were Edged out on the 17th at Newlands.

A hard fought win V Stackstown 8am 26/4/26.

The very impressive away teams of John Sloan / Ethan Farrell & Joe Hutahaen / Ciaran O'Connor both won their matches, at home it was left to Eoin Boggans / Damian Byrne to secure the winning point in a playoff back up the 1st. The teams of Brian Cruise / Dave Curley & Keith Lynch / Eoin Perry were well beaten on the day against strong opposition.

• All players will individually calculate a Course Handicap on the day of match
• Use the Golfireland app to get the latest live Course Handicap off Blue Tees. ( Howdidido may have incorrect info for various reasons).
• Each Team takes 60% of the lower CH and 40% of the higher CH and adds them together, this is the pairs playing handicap.
• The full difference between the 2 teams handicaps will determine the number of shots given/received.
• Both players in a team tee off Hole no1 Blue Tees , Choose preferred ball & Play alternate shots until completion of hole.

If the match is all square after the 18th hole, players restart on Hole 1 giving/receiving shots, as per the previous 1 to 18 holes (sudden death)

• Play off Blue Tees from Tee 1: play off full Course Handicap on the day (laminated CH sheet is in Changing room and at reception). If player A has a 20 Course Handicap & Player B is an 18 CH, Player A would then get a shot on hole index 1 & Hole index 2. ( all other Holes would be off scratch)
• If the match is all square after the 18th hole, players restart on Hole 1 giving/receiving shots, as per the previous 1 to 18 holes. (Sudden death playoff)

 Player of the year points are allocated from position 1 to 10, 1st place gets 10 points, 2nd 9pts, etc.

Your best 6 results from the 7 X Medals + Capt's + President's count towards a Gross & Nett winner ( 9 Majors).

Note: President's prize Gross section points are based on strokes, and not the comp format of stableford.

In order to spread the potential winners, only 1 win per member is allowed. (Wednesday Competitions are not part of the 2's Club), Team events are also excluded (unless running in tandem with Singles Comp where scores may be recorded via Howdidido in a singles comp on the day)
